Stratos Optical Technologies

Stratos Optical Technologies is a part of Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions, as is Trompeter (RF Connectivity) and Semflex (Microwave Solutions).

Our products are used in a variety of applications that require high data-rate networking, including Ethernet, Fiber Channel and SONET (telecom/enterprise), tactical field communications (military), and digital video transport (broadcast).  Our fiber optic and optoelectronic products, which are featured on this site, were born as technology solutions to the demands of the dot.com bubble, when optical technologies were beginning to demonstrate the power of high data rate networking across wide areas and to the "everyperson" audience.  Our company has over a hundred patents related to creating optical-electrical-optical OEO conversion in combining the excellent properties of optical signal transport with the intelligence of copper based semiconductors for maximum network flexibility and success.
